Description
Requirements
Hardware Requirements:
Mobility: The robot should be able to navigate autonomously within a commercial space, using sensors like lidar or stereo cameras to map its surroundings and avoid obstacles.
Sensing Capabilities: The robot should be equipped with a variety of sensors to gather information about the space's environment, including:
- 3D Mapping Sensors: To create a detailed 3D model of the space, including architectural features, fixtures, and equipment placement.
- Object Recognition Sensors: To identify and classify objects in the space, such as furniture, equipment, and storage units.
- Human Presence Sensors: To detect and avoid people in the space, ensuring safe operation.
Computational Power: The robot should have sufficient processing power to handle complex AI algorithms for layout optimization and real-time navigation.
Software Requirements:
Space Layout Analysis Algorithms: The robot should be able to analyze the current layout of the commercial space, considering factors like space utilization, functionality, traffic flow, and safety.
Layout Optimization Algorithms: The robot should be able to generate multiple optimized layout options based on the analysis, taking into account business needs, industry regulations, and code compliance.
Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) Capabilities: The robot should be able to communicate with users to gather their requirements, present layout options, and explain the rationale behind its suggestions.
Visualization Capabilities: The robot should be able to display 3D visualizations of the current and optimized layouts, allowing users to easily understand and compare options.
Additional Considerations:
Safety: The robot should be designed with safety in mind, incorporating features to avoid collisions, protect objects, and ensure user safety.
Adaptability: The robot should be able to adapt to different types of commercial spaces, including offices, retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.
Code Compliance: The robot should be able to generate layouts that comply with relevant building codes, fire safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
Security: The robot should have robust security measures to protect sensitive data, such as floor plans and user preferences.
