The Spirit of Innovation electric aircraft has made history by setting three new world records, showcasing the incredible potential of electric aviation. On November 16, 2021, the aircraft demonstrated its remarkable capabilities, breaking records in top speed and climb rate.

At 15:45 (GMT), the Spirit of Innovation achieved a staggering top speed of 555.9 km/h (345.4 mph) over a 3-kilometer distance. This impressive feat smashed the existing record by 213.04 km/h (132 mph), proving the power and efficiency of its 400kW (500+hp) electric powertrain.

The electric aircraft continued its record-breaking streak by reaching a speed of 532.1 km/h (330 mph) over a 15-kilometer distance. This remarkable achievement surpassed the previous record by a staggering 292.8 km/h (182 mph), further highlighting the capabilities of the Spirit of Innovation.

Finally, the aircraft set a new record for the fastest time to climb to 3,000 meters, completing the ascent in just 202 seconds.
